At our comprehensive offices scattered throughout the Tampa FL area , you will receive personalized up-to-date medical and surgical treatment from Dr. Sandy Martin, one of the most highly trained board certified specialists in our community.  Dr. Martin trained in Houston at the famous Baylor College of Medicine and Affiliated Hospitals.  His experience at the Texas Medical Center included reading dermatopathology biopsy specimens at M.D. Anderson Hospital and consulting on patients of the world-renowned Michael E. Debakey, M.D. By the time Dr. Martin completed his formal training, he had authored or co-authored a host of clinical and scientific articles on topics ranging from dermatology to basic science and embryonic heart development.  Dr. Martin is the co-author of a dermatology atlas of skin disease.

Believing that the broader a physician’s education is, the better it is for his patients, Dr. Martin has “kicked it up a notch” by obtaining a legal degree and becoming a member in good standing of the Florida Bar. Perhaps it’s hard to understand how that equates with better skin cancer or laser treatment, for example, but it is Dr. Martin’s opinion that his years of legal training and practice inure to the benefit of each and every one of his patients.  Make an appointment and see if you don’t agree!

Mission Statement

The mission of DR MARTIN and the other physicians he has the pleasure to practice with is to provide the highest quality of patient education and dermatologic care using sound scientific, medical, and surgical reasoning and provided in a warm environment.  Ours is a MINIMAL DOWN-TIME, NON-INVASIVE, treatment practice.

The Major Emphasis of Our Practice

Our practice cannot be all things to all people but the practice at the Center for Dermatology and Skin Surgery in Tampa and surrounding areas includes expertly trained MOHS surgeons, and board certified dermatopathologists. In general, what we emphasize is preventative maintenance of the skin.  It is much easier to prevent a sun-induced skin cancer than it is to treat it.  We emphasize early treatment of the skin, both with respect to potentially dangerous sun-induced skin lesions and disfiguring changes brought on by years of outdoor exposure and age. We emphasize minimally invasive procedures in our treatments, but are prepared to deal with the most complicated of cases. 

For Aesthetics, we have several lasers and have purchased one of the world’s most advanced intense pulse light and lasers so that our patients may rest assured they can accomplish twenty-first century medicine in as gentle a treatment as possible.  Whether our patients’ want laser hair removal, photorejuvenation, Botox Cosmetic, Dysport, or one of the fillers to blunt what the mirror reflects, Dr. Sandy Martin is prepared to deliver concierge-style dermatologic care.
